The impact of A.I on the JOB Market

 Artificial intelligence is by no means a new discovery yet it seems to be on everyone's lips at the moment.

There are many common misunderstandings of what A.I is or what it could do. Many people think A.I will steal their jobs in the near future, so what is the truth? 

So what is/will be the impact of A.I on our lives?

So according to PWC approximately 7 million people could lose their jobs to A.I in the United Kingdom in the period 2017-2037 but that same period around 7.2 new jobs could be created due to A.I. The is that A.I will leave not completely takeover just yet as people need to update, control and maintain the hardware and software needed in order for A.I to complete everyday tasks.

Although many people are afraid that they will either lose their jobs or it will become less lucrative to them, some people might be happy to hear that their is no competition for their jobs in the future. This is true for many positions in the Information Technology industry many jobs from Data analyst to Software Developers seem pretty secure at the moment.

I know many of you are wondering where should I go from here ? Or what should I to prevent myself from losing my job? If you fresh out High School consider studying Computer Science or Information Technology at a Tertiary Institution because at the moment Technology related skills are the most in demand in world. Ok so you've been employed for 5-10 years and you wanting to make a career switch to I.T, Coding boot camps, short courses are great ways to break into the industry e.g. You've decided that you want to become a software engineer or data scientist after working as an accountant for about 6 years, the best thing to is for you join a coding boot camp they usually only 6 months and they 6 extremely demanding months.
